We are currently recruiting applicants for the Pepper Scholar Program. If you have early career faculty interested in a research career in aging and mobility, we encourage them to apply. We have included a brief description of the Pepper Scholars below. The application is due for submission by COB May 15 with a planned start of July 1.
The Pepper Scholar Program’s mission is to support early-career faculty with initial aging and mobility expertise and strong potential for an independent career to receive salary support. Pepper Scholars are required to have a Pepper Center mentor, participate in REC sessions, including Work in Progress presentations, and receive ongoing research training. Full details can be found in the application. We also welcome any new trainees with interests in aging and mobility to join the REC sessions, even if they are not currently interested in applying as a Pepper Scholar.
We require an official application for a Pepper Scholar position, found here:
Please send completed applications to Elsa Strotmeyer, PhD, strotmeyere@edc.pitt.edu, and Chrissy Kistler, KISTLERC@pitt.edu, with cc to: Bari Guzikowski, bmg96@pitt.edu.
We welcome any interested trainees to apply. If you have any questions about the Pepper Scholars program, we’d be happy to meet.
Please see FAQs here. If you have other questions, please direct them to Bari, Elsa, and Chrissy as well.
Sincerely,
REC Directors
